Position Introduction:


This is a full time, permanent position, and an opportunity to work with a fun, family orientated organization in a growing company division.

Role Accountabilities:


  • Accounts payable receive, sort, review, and enter invoices into Sage/QuickBooks; determine and use the proper account codes and obtain appropriate invoice approvals; prepare accounts payable aging reports, obtain payment authorization, and produce cheques; ensure vendors are paid on a timely and accurate basis to avoid service charges; reconciliation of monthly vendor statements to Company ledgers; contact vendors and clients to arrange payment or payment plans
  • Record credit card transactions and reconcile to statements
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts
  • Prepare common cost schedules and billings
  • Adhoc accounting duties as required
  • Assist in monthend/yearend adjustments and reporting
  • Perform general office duties

Education & Experience:


  • Postsecondary education in Accounting or Office Administration an asset
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must have minimum 2 years of accounting experience
  • SAGE/Desktop QuickBooks accounting experience
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills; highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outloo

Pre-Employment Requirements:


  • Drug and alcohol screening, Criminal record check
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR/Driver abstract
  • Must have reliable transportation
