SUMMER STUDENT POSTING FOR

ROTARY HOSPICE STRATFORD PERTH
(An operation of:

Hospice Care Avon Maitland)


POSITION:

Office Assistant (see posting to follow)

  • 35 hours per week for eight (8) weeks
- $15.50 per hour


REPORTS TO:

Executive Director

This position assists with a variety of office administration tasks such as filing, scanning, office projects, file audits, answering phones etc.


DATE REQUIRED:

Eight-week period between May-August 2023


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Youth between the ages of 15 to 30
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person granted refugee status.
  • Working in an office environment
  • Working as part of a team

EDUCATION:

Post-secondary student with educational background or

POSITION TITLE:

Office Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs Student)


REPORTS TO:

Executive Director

:


This position assists with Office tasks providing assistance to the Executive Director and Coordinator Administration & Operations at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth.

The position works on various office projects including filing, mailings, file audits, and assists with admin support to Hospice fundraising events as required.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General/Office Administration

  • Maintain an organized system of tracking and prioritizing workload
  • Organize files, scanning, copying and audits.
  • Computer use, answering phones.
  • Other related duties as assigned
Fund Development

  • Provide support to the fundraising team with office tasks as assigned.
  • Other related duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:


  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite.

EDUCATION:

Post-secondary education in a related field, or interest & proven skills for Office admin work.


WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Successful completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and two step Tuberculosis (TB) test
  • 35hour work week (Monday to Friday)
  • That all responsibilities be performed in keeping with the philosophical framework set out in the Mission, Vision, and Values of HCAM and SPHF
