Position Overview:
Are you deeply passionate about the media and entertainment (M&E) industry? Do you love following the biggest trends impacting film, tv, and games production, and the visual effects artists, game developers, and creative studios that bring them to life? Can you turn complex ideas about trends and technology into simple stories that are relatable and inspiring?


If this sounds like you, you might be a great fit to join Autodesk's content strategy and thought leadership team as the new Thought Leadership Marketing Manager, Media and Entertainment.


In your role, you will build relationships with customers, strategic technology partners, industry associations, and Autodesk's industry marketing, industry strategy, and product teams to develop a thought leadership platform for the media and entertainment industry (M&E).

You'll write and produce keynotes for Autodesk conferences, craft sales presentations, identify customer story opportunities, and write messaging that informs marketing activities such as events, PR, content, and executive engagement campaigns.


You will need to demonstrate strong experience as a storyteller, the ability to develop measurable thought leadership marketing strategies, and a proven track record of implementing your marketing plans.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop Autodesk's thought leadership marketing platform for the M&E industry.
  • Promote a common understanding of Autodesk's vision for M&E through the creation of internal marketing materials and presentations on the topic.
  • Write and produce keynotes for Autodeskled customer conferences and internal events.
  • Collaborate with product, industry strategy, industry marketing, and community teams on creating content and campaigns that are designed with a distributionfirst mindset to engage and inspire M&E executives.
  • Act as the M&E industry evangelist when collaborating with internal teams to ensure content, executive audience campaigns, and event messaging is tailored and relevant.
  • Build relationships with customers, strategic technology partners, and relevant industry associations to identify opportunities to bring Autodesk's M&E thought leadership platform to life.
  • Identify new opportunities to drive M&E thought leadership and collaborate to scale them.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strategic storyteller, problem solver, and big picture thinker with an execution mindset.
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions to closure.
  • Ability to work effectively in global virtual and dispersed teams.
  • Proven success leading and executing thought leadership marketing programs.
  • Experience producing and writing executive level presentations and keynotes.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI.
  • Ability to establish credibility and achieve positive impact in customer, analyst and press interactions.
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, Sociology, Theatre Arts, English, Journalism, or media field. MA or MBA preferred. 8+ years of experience in business/marketing role.
  • Media and entertainment industry experience required.
