Job Description:
Most of the things you'll do:
- Support a diverse group of technical specialists for a wide range of engagement/outreach activities for major infrastructure and planning studies and projects
- Develop engagement and communication plans and outreach strategies for a wide range of agencies, stakeholders, and the general public
- Write engagementrelated sections of proposals, notably transportation planning/engineering, land use, urban design and planning
- Organize all engagement related material and logistics before, during, and after events
- Work with team members and clients to discuss engagement processes
- Plan and conduct physical engagement sessions and exercises (e.g. invites, boards, exercises, games, etc.)
- Plan and conduct online engagement sessions using a variety of webbased tools (e.g. synchronous and asynchronous)
- Lead engagement/outreach sessions with stakeholders and the general public
- Liaise with local communications / outreach firms involved in an engagement process
- Collect engagement process data, analyze and write summary reports with appropriate graphic and text
Qualifications:
You'll need to have:
- Postsecondary education
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consultation, outreach/engagement, facilitation and strategic communication
- Exceptional writing skills
- Exception interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Asset to have:
- International Association of Public Participation IAP2 Certification
- National Charrette Institute NCI Certification
- Designrelated background with knowledge in graphic design, transportation, architecture, urban design, etc.
- Experience engaging with Indigenous Nations
