Mechanical and Civil-Structural engineering Co-op - Labrador City, Canada - CIMA+

Mission

The intern will be working in the CIMA+ Labrador City office reporting to the project engineers and project manager. The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects
• Assist in Mechanical detailed design / analysis (related to General Arrangements, piping, HVAC, custom equipment / vessels, rotating machinery, etc) for heavy industrial sites
• Assist in Civil/Structural detailed design / analysis (related to General Arrangements, structural steel, reinforced concrete, equipment anchoring, etc) for heavy industrial sites
• Be involved in detailed drawing reviews and mark-up for designers / drafters
• Work with engineers to produce construction documents, such as scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules
• Be involved in projects from Kick-off through completion of Construction / Commissioning

Remuneration will include:

• Rate of pay according to our Interns salary range, based on relevant experience with a 40-hour work week.
• Air travel to and from Labrador City will be provided at the start and end of the work term
• Company vehicle will be provided throughout the work term (shared)
• Accommodations will be provided in Labrador West
• $45 per diem will be provided each day, including weekends

• Enrolled in Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• A valid Canadian Driver's License is required
• Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test)
