Job Description

Mission

You will be working in the CIMA+ Labrador City office reporting to the project engineers and the project manager on both greenfield and brownfield projects. The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.

Primary Responsibilities

Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects
Assist in electrical detailed design / analysis (related to electrical layouts, single line diagrams, connection/ wiring drawings, load calculations, etc.) for major utility/industrial clients.
Participate in detailed drawing review and mark-up for designers / drafters.
Produce construction documents, such as scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules
Complete projects from Kick-off through completion of Construction / Commissioning

Remuneration will include:

Rate of pay according to our Interns salary range, based on relevant experience with a 37.5-hour work week.
Air travel to and from Labrador City will be provided at the start and end of the work term
Company vehicle will be provided throughout the work term (shared)
Accommodations will be provided in Labrador West
$45 per diem will be provided each day, including weekends

Qualifications

Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Valid Canadian Driver's License is required
Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test)
