As an Asset Management Analyst, you help serve, prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients.

You help sell securities products and services through various distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices.

Your focus areas include discretionary management, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and structured products.

You actively develop and maintain business relationships with your clients.

You drive results to handle complex information requests from clients and promote and sell products and services in accordance with your unit's business objectives and strategies.

You balance sales objectives, sound and prudent risk management, profitability and member/client satisfaction.

You work with clients who have development potential for your sector. You analyze member/client needs, help develop and implement personalized solutions, and propose integrated service offers.

You advise and assist current and potential members and clients. You represent Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with clients. You also have opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms in accordance with standards and procedures. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

General Information on the Position


Main responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to maximize returns and enhance asset value by driving NOI to identify revenue improvement and /or expense management opportunities through analysis of operating results, key leasing transactions, market and leasing assumptions, capital expenditures, and implementation of asset management initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support and input in the preparation of annual operating, leasing, and capital budgets
  • Review and analyzing monthly property management reports and financials, variance analysis, and benchmark comparisons
  • Craft return calculations, NPV and IRR analysis for new developments
  • Develop and improving on existing reporting and presentations provided to internal management and coowners
  • Develop high valueadd reporting including indepth analysis on operational benchmarking, leasing performance, capital work and development projects.
  • Provide analytical support in strategizing and prioritizing capital expenditure spending in conjunction with asset management plans and return on investment objectives
  • Provide asset management support to the Desjardins real estate asset management group by providing leasing, market, and underwriting assumptions for new developments, financings, acquisitions/ dispositions, internal valuations, and other corporate activity
  • Analyze and recommending new ways to unlock value from new technology and ESG initiatives
  • Conduct and perform market research and analysis on a regular basis to identify market conditions and trends
  • Participating in process improvement initiatives and creation of data analytics dashboards
  • Provide support on various adhoc analysis tasks including but not limited to major leasing and capital investment decisions, tenant financial performance and credit summaries, drawing insights from historical and budgeted propertylevel financial, etc.
  • Gain an understanding of coowner return hurdles, reporting requirements, investment goals and develop processes, tools and reporting to enhance the coownership relationship.

Qualifications:


  • College diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Background education in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or Engineering (an asset)
  • Experience in real estate (asset management, leasing, investments, private equity or development)
  • Experience working for a real estate company, appraisal, or advisory firm is considered (an important asset)
  • Experience in the multiresidential and industrial sectors (an important asset)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge- Proficiency in Argus Enterprise, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint at an expert level- Knowledge of basic commercial real estate investment, valuation concepts, terminology and development/construction- Knowledge of Financial modeling- Knowledge of Yardi et Power BI (an asset)
