    Director of Automation (Turnkey Platform) in Waterloo, ON

    The "game changer" opportunities are rare and we are working on one of them at VueReal.

    We seek an experienced and dynamic director of automation to spearhead the development and implementation of our automation strategy, overseeing the creation of a turnkey platform designed for easy integration by our partners across various industries.

    This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and automation technologies.

    Define and execute a comprehensive automation strategy that aligns with our organizational goals, enhances efficiency, and delivers value to our partners.


    Team Leadership:
    Manage, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of automation engineers and developers to create innovative tools and systems.

    Innovation and Research:

    Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in automation and manufacturing to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into our platform.


    Operational Excellence:
    Ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in developing and deploying our automation solutions.

    Stakeholder Management:
    Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels, including presentations to executive teams and partners.

    Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering or a related field; A minimum of 10 years of experience in automation, with at least five years in a leadership role overseeing automation technology development and implementation.

    Proven track record of developing and executing automation strategies that have significantly improved operational efficiencies.
    Strong technical knowledge of automation, mechatronics, software development, and perception processes.
    Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a history of mentoring engineers and developers.
    Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
