Prep Cook Job Description:
$15-$18hr

Responsibilities:

Arrive promptly for shifts in appropriate dress code.
Maintains regular shift availability as stated in contract.
Ensure all food items are stored properly.
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
Prepare simple dishes such as salads and entrees etc.
Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
Work with Front of House staff to exceed customer expectation.
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Provide support to kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating as needed.
Other duties as required.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
Document and communicate with the chef any incidents or infractions based on company policies.
Adhere to and implement workplace health and safety standards.
Reports accident or injury promptly to Front House management

Requirements:

High school diploma
Teamworkoriented
Food Handlers Certificate (asset)
2 years' experience in a similar role (asset)
Ability to stand or walk for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment and best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Commitment to the production of highquality outputs and excellent customer service.
