About the Opportunity:


Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Operations, the Equipment Maintenance Technician performs a variety of skilled tasks (electrical/electronic, microcomputer controls, hydraulic) on systems such as sterilization/sanitization, dietary equipment, patient lifts and beds etc.

These tasks include the preventative maintenance, repair, upgrading and installation of this type of equipment within the Nova Scotia Health.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Two-year Electronic Technician program, or a Red Seal Journeyman Industrial Electrician/Industrial Mechanic.
  • 2 years related experience required
  • Travel to other sites may be required, access to reliable transportation required
  • Valid training in the following would be considered an asset: WHMIS, confined space awareness, fall protection, first aid, lockout tagout and infection control.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent, fulltime position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $30.20 Hourly
