Description

Working within a multi-functional organization, the Accounting Clerk is a hands-on representative of the Finance department whose job is to help facilitate all basic Accounting functions.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support in the various accounting functions.
The Accounting Clerk plays an active role in designing, developing, and implementing new and existing procedures.

Because this position has unparalleled access to useful data, the Accounting Clerk conducts analysis and reporting in addition to daily tasks, confidentiality is a requirement of this position.


Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Complete various accounts payable functions including verifying and coding invoices, and reconciling accounts
  • Maintain listing of accounts payable
  • Maintain listing of Prepaid Accounts and ensure proper monthly expense allocation
  • Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting, including analyzing expense accounts and creating comparative and explanatory reporting
  • Maintain and enhance the current Purchase Order system
  • Maintain inventory count sheets for food, spa, and wine inventories
  • Participate in the physical inventory counts when needed
  • Manage the Wine Inventory system, reconciling invoices and inventory receiving reports; includes preparing and managing the wine inventory spot checks
  • Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files
  • Assist with Fiscal Year End activities
  • Assist, when needed, with various accounts receivable functions including processing deposits, preparing and reconciling invoices, processing payments, and following up onoverdue accounts
  • Prepare and track donation requests
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Salary:
$19.50-$22.00 per hour
