    Description
    Adecco is currently searching for an experienced Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Advisor for a reputable Canadian specialty aerospace and defense company based in Abbotsford, BC. This is a full-time, permanent role that presents a fantastic chance to ensure the company's commitment to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards, in accordance with company policies, the Canada Labour Code, prescribed Canadian Occupational Safety & Health Regulations (COSH), and environmental laws.

    Details:
    • Pay Rate: $79,500 / year
    • Location: Abbotsford, BC

    Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Act consistently with the company's culture and values
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety & environment policies and regulations
    • Support and advise employees on safe work practices
    • Research and recommend safety improvements
    • Conduct safety audits and investigate incidents
    • Facilitate safety training programs
    • Assist with safety committee meetings, hazard observations, and first aid situations
    • Liaise with Human Resources on injuries and claims
    • Audit safety practices for regulatory compliance
    • Perform other duties as needed
    Requirements:
    • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
    • First Aid - Level 2 certification preferred
    • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing and/or aviation
    • Experience with Transport Canada Approved Safety Management or Department of National Defence Flight Safety System beneficial
    • Knowledge of disability management and audit processes
    • Proficiency in Accident/Incident Investigations and Canadian Health & Safety Regulations (COSH)
    • Familiarity with Industrial Hygiene practices
    • Understanding of WSBC regulations
    • Excellent English communication skills
    • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
    • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Suite)
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork aptitude
    • Legal eligibility to work and live in Canada
