The Product Owner is responsible for building out the product backlog and will work closely with the Product Manager to ensure dependencies are accounted for and enablers are properly prioritized.
Responsibilities:
- Build the backlog of user stories, create, and prioritize features within the backlog.
- Work as a primary point of contact on story elaboration, grooming, and acceptance with business stakeholders
- Serve as an effective communication bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear and precise delivery of needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and quality assurance to ensure ontime, onscope delivery of product features and updates.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both the business stakeholders and the technical team, providing guidance and expertise.
- Coordinate with other Product owners and Sr. Product Owners to ensure dependencies are accounted for and enablers are properly prioritized.
- Continually assess risk and identify areas for product improvement or new product opportunities.
- Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, highimpact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, product owner or equivalent role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical products, ideally within an airline or loyalty services context.
- Experience or familiarity with working in an Agile methodology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Enjoys working both as part of a team and independently.
- Innovative and creative with the ability to identify and document solutions to complex challenges.
- Airline or travel industry experience is a plus.
- Coding or design experience is a plus.
- Bilingual: EN/FR a strong asset.
