Job Description:

Eataly's bustling marketplaces feature a rich variety of unique, high-quality Italian and local products. The Market Manager oversees the Grocery and Housewares departments and manages the Grocery and Housewares team members.

  • Organizes and directs the store's Grocery and Housewares departments to maximize profitability while upholding the company's mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standards
  • Manages the Grocery and Housewares teams: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll, evaluates
  • Creates the monthly promotion grid and designs the layout and promotional spots in the store with saleable merchandise according to Eataly's policies
  • Maintains an orderly store aesthetic: ensures that only saleable merchandise is placed on the grocery shelves and promptly handles deleted, expired or otherwise nonsaleable merchandise
  • Monitors stock levels and orders or requisitions supplies and merchandise as needed
  • Processes delivery orders, unloads stock trucks from distribution centers, and generates monthly reports
  • Communicates and coordinates with the Marketing and Facilities departments on updates or issues with the overall layout of product and fixtures in the store
  • Analyzes financial data and develops strategies to increase efficiencies and drive sales
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of retail management experience in a highvolume, fastpaced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Experience purchasing and managing inventory
  • Knowledge of Italian products and brands
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert wellpaced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to operate equipment such as a hand truck or cash register as needed
