- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges, develop and implement policies and plans for the Canadian turkey industry.
- Supervise two direct reports focused on research, analysis, and policy recommendations on economic and trade-related issues.
- Stay updated on domestic and international regulations to advocate for TFC's interests during trade negotiations.
- Act as an advocate for the Canadian turkey industry in discussions with government bodies and international organizations.
- Represent TFC on committees and working groups to influence policy decisions and trade negotiations.
- Oversee the analysis and dissemination of market data relevant to the turkey industry for decision-making processes.
- Build strong relationships with TFC members, government officials, and other stakeholders.
- Assess risks associated with international trade agreements and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to teams on economic analysis and market access.
- Promote continuous learning for organizational development.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Experience in public administration, policy development, international trade, or economics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and databases.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience.
- Strong communication, research, and interpersonal skills.
- Professionalism, diplomacy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English and French preferred.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
