Allied REIT is looking for a
Market Manager to join their team at The Well. In the role of Market Manager, you will manage the operations and performance of the Wellington Market.

In turn, your work will help to establish the food market as the premier destination for guests to gather, indulge and celebrate.

This is a brand-new position for a one-of-a-kind destination with great potential for impact.


Wellington Market


Wellington Market is Toronto's newest, evolved food and drink market with fresh, local produce, artisan fare and a variety of casual dining options.

Wellington Market offers everything from the core essentials to the adventurous, celebrating the best of Toronto's diverse food scene in a lively environment.

Seasonal offerings collide with vibrant surroundings to create Toronto's go-to market for culinary exploration and experiences to share.


What will you do?:


  • Serve as primary contact for merchants and ensure they have what they need to create an engaging guest experience.
  • Partner with merchants to understand business goals, customer base, and traffic patterns to continuously improve the Wellington Market's sales performance and guest experience.
  • Collaborate with Leasing and Operations to achieve leasing goals and ensure the Wellington market has the right merchandising mix.
  • Ensure merchant programs and visual merchandising are onbrand and aligned to strategy.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance through regular business analysis, competitor visits and soliciting feedback from merchants and customers.
  • Monitor customer service KPIs through social media and other channels and take corrective action, as needed.
  • Ensure that OH&S, food safety, and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Manage the Wellington Market's finances, assisting in the preparation and administration of annual operating and capital budgets, reviewing recovery adjustments and payments, and reporting to management on business performance and the status of each merchant.

How are you qualified?:


  • At least 3 years of experience in the food service, retail or property management industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to build relationships.
  • The ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience in accounting, budgeting and building systems.
  • The ability to anticipate client needs and respond in agreed timeframes.
  • Demonstrated resilience, passion and commitment to deliver and be accountable for results.
  • An assertive selfstarter with the ability to work independently under mínimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills, with a good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
  • The ability to work weekends and evenings for special events (primary work schedule is Monday-Friday).

Would be an asset:


  • RPA designation completed or in progress.
  • Knowledge of Yardi.
