An overview of your future role at BBA

Our Transmission and Distribution Lines team is spread out across Canada, mainly in our Mont-Saint-Hilaire (head office), Toronto and Edmonton offices.

Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of specialized engineers, technicians and support staff and includes professionals from junior to expert levels.

Our clients operate mainly in the heavy industry and private sectors, both in Canada and abroad. Our team of experts helps clients with all their project phases, from feasibility studies to commissioning and asset management.

With us, you'll get the opportunity to...

Lead and coordinate transmission and distribution line services for all BBA offices in Canada.
Establish the vision, strategic plan and operational plan to develop the group's expertise on both the national and international levels.
Work with office directors and other strategic BBA players to develop and implement market strategies and stimulate growth for the Transmission and Distribution Lines department.
Actively participate in development activities by finding business opportunities and recruiting clients.
Lead the preparation and help produce proposals, studies, cost estimates, reports, and plans and specifications.
Work with the business lines to come up with business development and market penetration strategies.
Work with senior management to establish resource and expertise needs.
Recruit and assess resources and ensure their professional development.
Establish, develop and support training activities as well as effective practices to maintain the level of excellence and execution.
Make sure the department meets its responsibilities and obligations in terms of BBA's health, safety and environment standards.
Establish department objectives, manage budgets and ensure alignment with the department's overall operational plan.

Represent BBA at conferences and trade association meetings in the Transmission and Distribution Lines sector.

Your key skills and certifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
At least 10 years of experience in transmission and distribution lines industry
Relevant experience in consulting engineering, project assessment and staff management
Bilingual (English and French)
Available to travel occasionally across CanadaAsset: established network of contacts in the transmission and distribution lines industry
