The Opportunity
XCMG Canada Ltd.

is currently seeking an energetic individual to join a growing and dynamic team as the Human Resources Manager at our head office located in
Stony Plain, AB.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager will work with management on human resource related issues and assess and anticipate HR related needs.

The duties may include recruiting, on-boarding, employee / labour relations, compensation, benefits, and / or employee records.

The position will also play a crucial part in facilitating communication between employees and management, addressing HR-related inquiries, and supporting HR initiatives to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recommending solutions to issues and concerns for both managers and employees.
  • Responsible to ensure all transactions related to the employee life cycle are submitted accurately and within the required payroll deadlines (eg. new hire paperwork, terminations, benefits, compensation changes and taxable benefits).
  • Consult with management in providing HR advice and recommendations.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday employee relation issues.
  • Maintain a high degree of ethics, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all HR related matters.
  • Provide employee performance and career management advice to supervisors in managing employee issues.
  • Assist with the development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage the classification of job titles and salary brackets.
  • Report back to senior management and provide an overview of what the organization is doing regarding personnel.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of employment legislation, as well as trends and challenges related to HR.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate with various audiences, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Excellent problemsolving and leadership skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and relationship building skills.

Qualifications

  • Proof of a Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Human Resources.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation considered an asset.
  • A minimum of five (5) years to ten (10) years of related experience.
  • A proven track record in delivering top quality customer service by going above and beyond in maintaining effective relationships with team members, as well as internal and external clients.
