    Data Security Engineer - Toronto, ON, Canada - Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce

    We're building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world.

    You'll be a key role in Data Protection Services team, an innovative team with many brand new services provided at enterprise level, to provide data protection/discovery related services such as Data Element Level Protection (DELP), Test Data As a Service (TDaaS), and Data Discovery and Remediation (DDaR) services.

    As an Data Security Engineer, you and your team will work with business partner, vendors, consumers, QA and Application Operation (AO) partner on integration, configuration, development, implementation, troubleshooting as well as delivering services and providing PROD support.

    You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 5 days per month on-site, while other days will be remote.

    Act as a SME on the analysis of requirements, estimations for assigned work packages and coordination for end-to-end implementation of program specific solutions.

    Work with vendor (Protegrity) and internal partners to build, configure and deploy DELP/TDaaS services from DEV, UAT to PROD.
    Work with Consumers and AO teams to deliver data protection services per project plan or business requests.

    Programming Ability - Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities: develop specifications, code, test, debug, document, and automate via DevOps CI/CD in order to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of programs .

    Lead code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements. Provide user acceptance testing support and production support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies.


    You can demonstrate experience in:

    3+ years of IT hands-on working experience; Strong knowledge of Linux OS, Shell scripting; Strong knowledge of Java and Python languages (3+ years); Hands on experience of DevOps: Github/Git Actions, CI/CD, Maven, Jenkins and Artifactory; Strong knowledge of Rest API and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server); ServiceNow, Databricks, Azure networking, load balancers, LDAP/Active Directory, Authentication/Authorization, SSO, Digital certificates.

    You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, and/or a related field of study.
