Summary
Slegg Building Materials is seeking a Forklift Operator - Order Builder to join our team. This position is Full-Time and the shifts are Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 5pm. The wage range is $ $26.25 per hour (Tier 1: $ $24, Tier 2: $24 - $ Our Extended Health & Dental benefits start after 3 months.

The Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms
Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
Build orders to required specifications for delivery
Clean yard
Load and unload building materials in a safe and efficient manner
Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials
Ensure that all products are shipped on schedule and according to specific instructions by management to meet customer demands
Maintain contact with supervisor(s) and work to resolve issues as they arise
Other duties as assigned by management

The Requirements

Valid forklift certification (propane)
Forklift experience is essential
Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
Knowledge of basic mathematics
Basic hand tool skills
Physical requirements include:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Sitting and driving for longs periods of time
Frequently climbing up and down stairs
Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
A positive can do attitude is essential
