We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Operations to lead daily activities in heavy industrial sectors such as pulp & paper, mining, and oil & gas. This position calls for a seasoned leader who can inspire teams, handle complex projects, and nurture strong client relationships. The ideal candidate should possess extensive executive experience and be dedicated to making strategic decisions, ensuring safety, and driving profitability in the region.

Must Haves:

• Demonstrated leadership skills focused on motivating teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Executive background with potential for progression to higher roles in a short time.
• Extensive experience in project management, estimating, and project controls.
• Proven track record in establishing relationships and managing intricate negotiations with major corporate clients.
• Ability to travel over 50% of the time, including regular trips to regional offices and client sites.
• Residing in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia or ready to travel there frequently.

• Familiarity with the pulp & paper, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
• History of surpassing profitability goals and significantly contributing to the bottom line.
• Strong proponent of safety and health, with a proven record of enhancing safety standards in a region.

• Lead strategic decisions on resource management, budgeting, and customer relations.
• Develop and execute business strategies in line with the regional business plan.
• Cultivate a safety-oriented culture among all employees and subcontractors.
• Manage performance and succession planning for key roles in the region.
• Promote full engagement of employees and assist in their professional growth.
• Improve operational efficiency and drive initiatives for continuous enhancement.
• Establish and maintain lasting client relationships to ensure satisfaction and explore new business prospects in the region.
