    The Operations Team focuses on optimizing business practices to enhance operational efficiency. Their primary objective is to deliver products and services in a streamlined manner to maximize profitability. In addition to managing people and technology, the Operations team ensures a smooth flow of resources to deliver exceptional products and services while promoting operational excellence and aligning with key business goals, all while fostering a culture of respect and integrity.

    Position Responsibilities

    • File Management (70%)
      • Maintain service standards by processing all mortgage advances in line with company policies
      • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all funded deals
      • Prepare mortgage advances and process assignments
      • Review corporate documentation and legal paperwork to meet funding and AML criteria
      • Identify areas for operational improvements
      • Collaborate with other teams and ensure service levels are consistently met
      • Provide necessary daily updates and postings
      • Achieve high accuracy rates monthly
      • Provide mentorship and training to team members
    • Risk Management and Compliance (20%)
      • Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Client regulations
      • Handle assigned mortgage transactions diligently
      • Stay informed about funding procedures and legal requirements
    • Communication (10%)
      • Uphold the highest customer service standards
      • Communicate professionally with external parties
      • Coordinate with solicitors to ensure smooth closings

    Formal Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent
    • Preferred Certification(s)/Designation(s)

    Related Experience

    • 2 years of commercial funding experience
    • Proficiency in mortgage operations

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Thorough understanding of commercial mortgages
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solution-oriented mindset, proactive within set frameworks
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
    • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation
    • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Demonstrated capability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
    • Proficiency in MS Office and quick to adapt to new systems
    • Willingness to work extra hours during peak periods

    Position Complexities

    • Bilingualism is advantageous
    • May involve work beyond regular hours
