The Finance and Contract Officer administers all aspects of a wide variety of contracted services including preparing, tendering, awarding contracts as well as providing financial services support for the division.


The Finance & Contract Officer needs to possess strong interpersonal skills to support working with staff at all levels of government, as well as external agencies regarding financial matters.


Job Requirements:


  • Secondary school graduation supplemented by postsecondary coursework in a related field (eg. Business administration, Finance, Accounting). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum two (2) years of clerical/administration experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience providing financial management/administration services and support (e.g., accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, bookkeeping etc.).
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in procurement and contract administration, preferably in a public sector environment.
  • Experience and proficiency using Office tools, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
