Product Owner - BFS Client Insights & Cash Flow Delivery, epiX Journey


What is the opportunity?


You are responsible for building and commercializing insights for clients and advisors leveraging RBC's broad base of data as well as client data obtained through the creation of use cases incenting our clients to consent to data aggregation from their ecosystems (Accounting Platforms, ERP, CRM, etc).

The objective is to enable our clients to manage and grow their business more effectively from understanding market/peer trends, optimizing liquidity position to cash flow forecasting and modeling tools.


You are required to solve highly complex business problems from the ground up, connecting with our clients to capture untapped opportunities, while leading a cross-functional Agile team, ultimately responsible for successful delivery of the end to end solutions that span all user interactions and touch points.

You represent the voice of the business within the team, and the voice of the team within the business and responsible for maintaining and prioritizing the backlog of work/priorities, while ensuring the delivery of continuous business value.


What will you do?

  • Work with the Journey Lead to develop a product vision and recommendations that incorporates voice of the customer
  • Own the end to end product strategy from inception and work with team and partners to create a seamless client experience
  • Work with the business on prioritization, pricing strategy and commercialization
  • Maximize user / customer value while meeting the needs of the LOB stakeholders for the product
  • Lead a crossfunctional Agile team, coaching individuals to stay focused on what matters most
  • Advocate the product vision across diverse stakeholders
  • Own and is responsible for refining and prioritizing the product backlog, on a regular basis in collaboration with the team and key product stakeholders
  • Responsible for successful delivery of the product / initiative
  • Identify, execute, or enable the implementation of the agile change management activities related to the initiative
  • Act as the scrum team's single point of contact and serves as the lead in resolving problems/obstacles on behalf of the team
  • Understand customer pain points at the User story level and validating that solutions address those needs
  • Negotiate priorities between competing stakeholder interests and ensure that the highest value deliverables are completed within the sprint

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experienced leading a crossfunctional team of individuals towards an end state product or goal
  • Strategy and/or consulting Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Indepth knowledge of clients/users and user experience across multiple channels
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinker with attention to detail

  • Domain expertise
