We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Document Specialist to join our non-prime Residential Mortgage division. Where mainstream lenders stop, CMLS digs deeper to unearth a life story that can be just as creditworthy.

About the role:

Review mortgage documentation
Review information presented and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies
Confirming appropriate due diligence has been completed on all documents
Verify data to ensure it meets with company guidelines
Prioritize deals in the workflow queue
Correspond with mortgage brokers to attain outstanding documentation needed to complete requirements as stipulated on the mortgage commitment.
Manage the files from the time of commitment to all conditions met
Provide liaison and support for Underwriters and Funders
Knowledge of the documentation required for all mortgage products

This role is for you if you have:

Experience with compliance review is preferred
Postsecondary education and/or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of residential mortgage legal documentation
1 or more years of experience in the mortgage industry (residential mortgage experience is strongly preferred)
Ability to understand financial statements
Extensive knowledge of the review process for all documentation is preferred
