Full Time:
Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (1 position available); Friday to Tuesday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (1 position available)


Hourly Wage:
$19.00/hr

Are you a positive, friendly, energetic hospitality professional with experience in housekeeping? We are currently hiring an enthusiastic individual to join our amazing team


The Housekeeping team brings a positive attitude and exceptional attention to detail to make our students feel at home We work as a team to enhance the student experience, with high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in a student residential setting.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area with a willingness to learn new skills and improve your existing strengths.

In-suite cleaners promote a positive image of the property and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and should be available to address student requests and concerns.


Hours of Work
Generally, normal business hours for the assigned shift.

At our move-out and move-in times (typically April/May and August/September) the pace and volume of work is increased and may require additional overtime hours to be worked.


Experience
We're a 30 storey building with over 170 suites and almost 600 students.

We're looking for someone with hospitality experience who has excellent organizational and communication skills who is interested in engaging with our amazing community.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Must be willing to help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player;
  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning products;
  • An example of duties includes:
  • Remove and replace bed linens.
  • Dust all furniture, drawers, window ledges and surfaces.
  • Vacuum and mopping of floors throughout entire suite.
  • Empty and dispose of trash, recycling and compost.
  • Clean bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Inventory kitchen supplies and replace missing items.
  • Other duties will be assigned by the supervisor/management as they come up.

Qualifications

  • Housekeeping experience in a fastpaced hospitality environment is an asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
  • Must have excellent timemanagement skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help out where needed.
  • Must be able to work efficiently, completing the set standard number of rooms per shift.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • This role requires some manual lifting (moving supplies, etc.), and physical movement to complete the cleaning tasks.
  • Must be willing to complete a criminal reference check.
