Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Townline's Environmental Social Governance (ESG) team, working for one of BC's most respected and proven residential and mixed-use developers at the forefront of building their first ESG framework.

ESG is key for companies to create transparency with its stakeholders and be held accountable for actions. This is a priority at Townline, and this past year we've been working to develop a strategy and roadmap.

We intend to report to our stakeholders on our ESG performance annually, to align with recognized global frameworks and standards, and eventually rely on third-party assurance of that data.

You will be an integral part of kick-starting this process.

Reporting directly to the internal Sustainability Specialist, you will support Townline's efforts in benchmarking its' ESG data to assess the company's current state and ultimately drive change.

You will be working with people across all of Townline's functions to collect and analyze relevant data sets.

You will be a part of a small ESG team, gaining exposure to the end-to-end process of the establishing and implementing ESG frameworks and governance throughout the company.

This role enables you to employ your passion for the environment and sustainability—help us to make the change you want to see in the world.

The Duties of the ESG Coordinator may include but are not limited to:

Entering and updating ESG related information into relevant benchmarking database.
Gathering data from various departments and sites.
Following up with team members to ensure data can be entered in a timely fashion.
Analyzing data to identify causes of variances and identify areas of insight.
Any other duties as required.

Skills and Requirements:

Education: Graduation or Internship from a Diploma or bachelor or equivalent program;
Environmental Studies, Sustainable Energy Management or Engineering preferred.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities;
Strong communication, integration, problemsolving and interpersonal skills;
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing;
Accuracy and attention to detail;
Comfortable with repetitive tasks; and
Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
