Department Overview
- TD Auto Finance is a dynamic and growing division within TD.
- This is a rapidly growing business with 3 recently created Auto Banking Centres headquartered in Toronto, Calgary and Montreal. This team of bankers covering all of Canada will work closely with internal partners including the consumer/retail auto loan business.
- The Associate Program offers focused learning in the areas of financial analysis, relationship management, risk management and industry specialization. This skillset will give you the capability to work with a variety of dealership clients of TD Auto Finance as they strive to successfully meet their individual and financial goals. Business skills will be put to the test in learning loan underwriting, extensive financial analysis and creating banking proposals to meet the needs of our clients.
- The Associate Program offers a comprehensive training program working in a live business unit supporting Relationship Managers throughout the country. Training comprises of mentor based inbranch training, online learning and in class sessions.
- Once training is complete, Associates graduate to become Analysts and then can move onto sales or more senior analytical roles in consultation with the management team.
- What will you learn?
- Financial health and credit analysis for the automotive dealership industry including real estate, acquisition, inventory, lending, etc.
- How to bring the entire Bank to the client and holistic approach to addressing their needs including cash management, F/X, hedging, etc.
- Portfolio monitoring as per the Bank's risk management policies, processes and appetite
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in both English and French is required
- Business Degree (HBBA, BComm or MBA), other undergraduate degree coupled with a CFA, or commercial banking experience
- Financial statement acumen and strong analytical skills (will be assessed during the interview process) prior financial modeling experience considered a strong asset
- Strong communications and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to change in a dynamic fastpaced environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- A highenergy individual who can be detail oriented and exercise initiatives with mínimal discretion
- Proficient in using Windows and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
