Nicholby's is a Canadian convenience retailer with over four decades of experience in the industry. The Nicholby's Program, has allowed independent operators in the gas and convenience channel to stay competitive, grow incremental sales, generate additional income, and differentiate themselves in the marketplace. Nicholby's currently operates corporate, franchise, and licensing affiliated operations across several provinces in Canada.
Role Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Retail Marketing Coordinator at our Markham, ON office. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Vendor Relations, the Retail Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning, execution and reporting of marketing initiatives while ensuring clear consistent communication across all internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures seamless communication between vendors, retailers, and internal teams while driving execution of marketing programs and operational initiatives across all Nicholby's locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer & Vendor Relations:
- Act as the primary liaison for vendor management across all stores.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication with all stakeholders on marketing matters.
- Oversee onboarding of new retailers into Nicholby's CRM and coordinate vendor service enrollment
- Manage Microsoft Dynamics CRM cases to ensure timely resolution and accurate follow‑through.
- Track retailer and sales incentive programs.
- Update and post to company's LinkedIn page
Marketing Execution:
- Support the creation and scheduling of convenience marketing programs.
- Co‑develop promotional plans with the Director of Marketing & Vendor Relations.
- Design and distribute marketing assets (posters, trifolds, digital content) using Canva and Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Coordinate with external design partner to develop creative assets, including danglers, posters, and digital media, ensuring timely execution
- Participate in vendor meetings to align on marketing initiatives.
- Lead the creation, coordination, and publication of the company's quarterly newsletter.
- Develop manuals and guides for internal stakeholder use
- Ensure process manuals are accurately documented and organized
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare performance ranking reports for vendors/manufacturers.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly analysis reports for convenience promos.
- Compile weekly summaries and quarterly analysis reports for vendor services.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Business Central, and Power BI platforms for reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
· Completion of a diploma or degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in marketing, retail operations or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with Canva and experience creating design assets (print and digital)
- Proficiency with MailChimp or other email marketing software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
