Rubicon Organics' mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth and today we are doing just that out of our state-of-the art greenhouse facility located in Delta, B.C.We are growing and expanding quickly, with national distribution across Canada.
We are launching many new products each quarter as we bring exciting new genetics and extracted products to market in Canada and around the world.
As the commercial analyst you will plan and track for success by owning the demand forecasting process and accuracy analysis.
You will provide recommendations on our portfolio mix and commercial targets whilst owning the reports.This individual will report directly to the Business Insights and Development Director, while working cross functionally with sales, marketing, finance and the operational team.
Responsibilities:
Lead demand planning nationwide
- Partner with provincial sales lead to drive the demand cycle of the S&OP process
- Cross functionally partner with the marketing, sales, supply and financial team, as part of the end to end S&OP process
- Drive performance through weekly sales and supply updates and by recommending alternative plans if necessary to achieve targets.
- Maintain, develop, and present various sales, share and marketing performance reports against key KPI's and provide insights into underlying performance drivers.
- Work closely with the sales and supply chain teams in maintaining key business reports weekly consumption, on hand inventory, dynamic forecasts etc.
- Monthly Canadian business review, tracking updates for respective categories and new and core product performance
- Proactively execute national and regional analyses and communicate their results, in order to help the Sales team understand sales performance of brands and the respective competitive brands.
- Deliver adhoc reporting to support business evaluation and analysis, as required.
- Work with the data analyst to ensure sales team dashboards and automated reports are being delivered and ultimately support decision making
- Evaluate and optimize provincial and category P&L's through actionable insights.
- Advise on KA investments, trade promotions and having a thorough understanding of how we can make the biggest impact with our trade budgets delivering company sales and profit objectives.
- Provide actionable insights on price, activations, distribution, assortment, and shelving.
- Based on the Annual Business Plan, recommend sales key performance indicators (KPIs) and associated targets
Requirements:
- Business degree/equivalent
- 12 years of sales or analyst experience
- Must be highly competent in the use of Microsoft suite of software. Must be able to aggregate data from various sources & formats creating reports and spreadsheets to identify opportunity and model outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, effective relationship building with a high level of initiative
- Strong analytical, problemsolving skills and organization skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Leadership and strength in follow up and execution.
- Selfstarter who is able to plan, execute and juggle multiple projects and priorities successfully
- Understanding of financials including trade spending and profit and loss statements
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
