We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Kitchener Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Human Resources, Wellness, Health & Safety Manager, you will work amongst a team of Generalists, primarily responsible for the following;
- Management of employee health, safety & wellness concerns
- Management of employee relations matters;
- Provide trusted & reliable support to employee inquiries & concerns, ensuring legislative compliance, fairness & consistency, while upholding the Company's mission & values
- Council & mentor supervisory leadership team on employee relations matters, performance management, engagement, learning & development
- Organization and execution of employee appreciation and engagement events & initiatives
- Full cycle recruitment & selection
- Coordination of training & development activities
- Attendance management
- 5+ years of experience in a handson Human Resources role
- Experience in a large manufacturing environment
- Postsecondary education in Human Resources
- Sound comprehension & understanding of employment law & HR "best practice"
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a welldemonstrated customer service mindset and a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally with individuals at all levels of the business
- Analytical problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to adapt, persuade, motivate and foster positive change management
- Strong computer literacy, including intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
