The Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Kitchener Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Human Resources, Wellness, Health & Safety Manager, you will work amongst a team of Generalists, primarily responsible for the following;

Management of employee health, safety & wellness concerns
Management of employee relations matters;
Provide trusted & reliable support to employee inquiries & concerns, ensuring legislative compliance, fairness & consistency, while upholding the Company's mission & values

- lead investigations, determination & issuance of correction actions up to & including dismissal

Council & mentor supervisory leadership team on employee relations matters, performance management, engagement, learning & development
Organization and execution of employee appreciation and engagement events & initiatives
Full cycle recruitment & selection
Coordination of training & development activities
Attendance management

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in a handson Human Resources role
Experience in a large manufacturing environment
Postsecondary education in Human Resources
Sound comprehension & understanding of employment law & HR "best practice"
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a welldemonstrated customer service mindset and a strong sense of urgency
Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally with individuals at all levels of the business
Analytical problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to adapt, persuade, motivate and foster positive change management
Strong computer literacy, including intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
