The Role

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Kitchener Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Human Resources, Wellness, Health & Safety Manager, you will work amongst a team of Generalists, primarily responsible for the following;

  • Management of employee health, safety & wellness concerns
  • Management of employee relations matters;
  • Provide trusted & reliable support to employee inquiries & concerns, ensuring legislative compliance, fairness & consistency, while upholding the Company's mission & values
- lead investigations, determination & issuance of correction actions up to & including dismissal

  • Council & mentor supervisory leadership team on employee relations matters, performance management, engagement, learning & development
  • Organization and execution of employee appreciation and engagement events & initiatives
  • Full cycle recruitment & selection
  • Coordination of training & development activities
  • Attendance management
Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a handson Human Resources role
  • Experience in a large manufacturing environment
  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources
  • Sound comprehension & understanding of employment law & HR "best practice"
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a welldemonstrated customer service mindset and a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally with individuals at all levels of the business
  • Analytical problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to adapt, persuade, motivate and foster positive change management
  • Strong computer literacy, including intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
