The
Manager of Security Enablement will be accountable for the delivery and implementation of security technology that supports the overall Information Security program.

(S)he will participate in the execution and implementation of the Sun Life Cyber Security program.

This includes working with the Security Strategy, Architecture and Engineering teams to develop an implementation plan to move technology and processes from concept to production.

This will be in the form of projects, internally driven enhancements and feedback from operational teams.

You will also manage and direct the Security Enablement team and inspire stellar performance, improve established service levels, maintain a continuous improvement program for operational efficiencies and develop team capabilities and technical competencies with the end goal of ensuring a high performing team culture.

Management skills to lead, encourage and develop team members

Qualifications:

University degree/college diploma in related discipline(s) or equivalent work experience, and/or 10+ years in security IT industry experience
Professional designation in IT security management (such as CISM, CISSP, CISA) preferred
Familiar with Cyber Security frameworks (NIST, MITRE) and security tools and services.
Work experience in Financial Industry preferred

Responsibilities:

Advance the Cyber Security capabilities and protection mechanisms for the department.
Provide leadership and direction to the team in project delivery to assist in driving out results for project deliverables, prioritizing actions, assisting with overcoming obstacles that arise through the implementation of projects, and ensuring that sufficient security and audit mechanisms are in place for ongoing operations.
Develop plans to smoothly transition and operationalize each project as the implementation phase ends. This includes developing roles & responsibilities (RACI) documents and educating the teams who will be absorbing the day to day work.
Communicate project implementation progress and deliverables, status and escalations to the executive level in partnership with the Security Initiatives team through appropriate reporting mechanisms.
Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Operations and Investigation teams and other business stakeholders to ensure that security solutions and tooling are integrated and deployed appropriately to meet all requirements in each of the technology solutions.
