- Collaborate efficiently within the team and build strong professional relationships to support the organizational culture.
- Assess and cater to residents' needs, implementing individualized care plans and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Administer medications and treatments according to set standards and procedures.
- Manage community wound care, ensuring proper assessment, treatment, and documentation.
- Provide direct resident care, coordinate with other departments for quality-focused service.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including physicians, families, and volunteers.
- Ensure resident rights are respected and maintain a holistic approach to wellness.
- Act as a First Aid attendant when needed and maintain a safe environment for all.
- Supervise care staff, provide clinical direction, and fulfill on-call duties.
- Conduct community audits, assist in staff orientation, and participate in educational activities.
- Maintain accurate records as per standards and ensure confidentiality is maintained.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of a Nursing program and licensed by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an RN.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Hold Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification and CPR training.
- Pass annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing.
- Prior experience in long term care is beneficial.
- Clear vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check as per guidelines.
- Proficient in English, with good communication skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work with cleaning equipment.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will report to the Director of Care and/or designated personnel. You will serve as a role model and lead the team in delivering direct resident care. Your responsibilities include coordinating activities, following standards and regulations to ensure high-quality care while upholding resident dignity.
