GENERAL MANAGER

The General Manager contributes to the corporate goals and overall profitability of
the organization by:
- Establishing a collaborative culture that fosters communication and innovation to maximize customer service performance in every aspect of the company
- Working with the management team and the President to lead, execute and implement the strategic plan and meet the corporate and financial objectives
- Ensuring the alignment of all talent to achieve the strategic plan in collaboration with the President
- Working closely with the President and providing the President with effective, evidencebased and proactive reporting and recommendations
- Learn the product and procedures to review, improve and develop systems that reduce costs and improve operating efficiency and performance
- Managing the entire operation and facility in a teamspirited and organized manner to maximize supervisory selfmanagement
- Redefining, developing, establishing KPIs, and overseeing standards of performance that maximize achievement of departmental objectives
This opportunity reports to the President:
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and aligning systems to ensure quality and efficiencies to be prepared to meet and assimilate sales growth while meeting and exceeding quality and customer expectations.
- Leading and executing the strategic marketing plan to achieve growth objectives while delivering a consistently strong value proposition to our customers
- Developing a team spirit among customer service, sales, and the plant that impacts overall internal and external customer satisfaction
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales organization to deliver increased new business and a diversified product and customer mix
- Manage and lead the plant, sales, and customer service departments through direct coaching and leadership of the managers to achieve top and bottomline budgets
- Develops departmental budgets with managers, reviews and approves operational expenditures submitted by managers with the controller
- Establish a strategy for pricing and cost estimating to provide input and direction on key accounts/opportunities
- Implement problemsolving initiatives to address proactive opportunities and issues, handle problems that arise in daytoday activities
- Minimize problem repetition, ensure effective root cause analysis and departmental ownership
- Work with the management team to develop a training and coaching plan for all employees based on organizational goals and includes a culture of continuous improvement and effective crosstraining
- Maintaining a safe ethical working environment to ensure workforce safety.
- Insuring ongoing ISO certification
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, MBA would be beneficial
- History of selfimprovement and continual learning and development
- Progressive experience in manufacturing, at least 10 years preferred
