Pipe Layer / Grade Foreman
Brodsky Construction is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer / Grade Foreman. Wage will depend on experience.

Responsibilities include:

Directing and participating in culvert installations
Pipe laying, manhole and valve installations
Grade checking and guidance of heavy equipment for installation of underground water and sewer pipe
Staking and guidance of heavy equipment for earth work projects (roads, lagoons, landfills etc.)
Using hand compaction equipment (jumping jacks, plate tampers etc.)
Taking part in labour duties involved with all of the above tasks
Operation of heavy equipment as required (packer, skid steer, loader, etc.)

Requirements:

Must be driven to excel in your position, and improve every day.
5 years experience in sewer and water / earthmoving construction.
Physically fit.
Experience using survey equipment (survey levels, laser levels, hand levels, GPS)
Experience reading and understanding all types of construction stakes
Experience reading and understanding project drawings and plans
Understanding of basic math and ability to perform calculations quickly
Own transportation.
Valid driver's license.
Willing to work away from home.
Willing to work 60+ hours per week
Willing to work weekends and holidays
Possession of current safety tickets (first aid, TDG etc.) will be considered an asset. Please include copies of any certificates with resume.
