    Description

    Job Description

    Temporary full-time Co-op/Intern position for 16 weeks starting from September 3 to December 20, 2024.

    As a Co-op Applications Engineer at Renesas, you will delve into Renesas' flagship timing devices tailored for the 5G market. Your key focus will revolve around evaluating the typical performance of our RF PLL devices in the lab. This will entail extensive lab experimentation, scripting, and collaborating with diverse teams to enhance overall performance.

    Qualifications

    • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Coursework in circuit analysis and control system theory
    • Strong understanding of frequency domain signals analysis, including BODE plots, FFTs, spectrum analysis
    • Proficiency in using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators
    • Experience in Python programming
    • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
    • Initiative-taker, willing to ask questions and seek guidance
    • Inquisitive with a strong drive to learn and develop
    • Excellent attention to detail

    Optional Requirements

    • Understanding of PLL architecture as an illustration of a closed-loop control system
    • Familiarity with transmission line effects and termination schemes (CMOS, LVPECL, LVDS, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience with soldering and rework
