  • In this role, you will: _
  • Carry out testing, acceptance and maintenance activities for various Victoria Class Submarine systems and equipment
  • Act as a Test Director and direct multidisciplinary employees during the testing of submarine systems and equipment
  • Conduct equipment troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance
  • Be responsive to Commissioning Managers for dynamic program delivery requirements in a shipyard waterfront environment
  • Identify risks and opportunities during the course of testing and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • 4+ years of experience as a testing or commissioning specialist
  • Eligibility for designation as an AScT, CET or EIT
  • A strong working knowledge of:
  • Provincial safety regulations for Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Access
  • Internal and external tank pressure testing is an asset, including large volume hydrostatic testing
  • Material fitness inspections, lifting appliance certification and strength testing of fixed components such as eye plates, bollards, capstans desirable
  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems as well as Chilled Water cooling systems and equipment Set to Work experience desirable
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems including pressurized storage cylinders
  • Diesel engine familiarity
  • Gas turbine familiarity
  • Bulk liquid storage familiarity
  • Marine, offshore oil and gas drilling or naval vessel experience would be a strong asset
  • New construction commissioning or retrocommissioning is desirable
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
