Network Cyber Security Advisor - Toronto, Canada - Q1 Technologies
Description
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Proven experience in network engineering, operations and deployment, or a similar field, preferably in a largescale environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills, for all audience levels, including executive level. Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions. Creates clear and coherent written materials. Synthesizes information into succinct, concise and logical summaries and reports.
- Excellent interpersonal, communicational, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of 4G/5G network is considered as an asset.
- Experience with security testing tools, threat assessments and security testing methodologies.
- Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize competing priorities appropriately.
- Can work independently with mínimal supervision and direction.
- CISSP, CISA, CISM or similar cyber security certification are assets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform the network implementation; configure, install, and onboard networking equipment; test and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and optimization tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups.
- Run and create compliance reports, analyze security components, and work with network teams to remediate noncompliances.
- Perform change activities during maintenance windows, which could include after hours.
- Develop and provide recurring and adhoc reports, dashboards and pivot tables, and measurable cyber security KPI (Key Performance Indicators) to demonstrate value add, process/tool effectiveness, current threats and threat intelligence and security maturity.
- Maintain relationships with vendor and Rogers teams to build crosscollaborative partnerships to understand current security posture and aid in further protecting and increasing security in the network.
- Documenting process methodology, run books and identify areas to implement improvement and automation.
