Golf & Landscape Service Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

The Golf & Landscape Service Technician will be a key position in the delivery of an industry leading customer service experience to golf courses, irrigation contractors, municipalities and institutions in the irrigation market.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provide outstanding onsite, remote and virtual irrigation services to solve customer issues and complete service requests
Constantly update and maintain skills and product knowledge to support the customers' needs and maintain expertise in products supported by Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd.
Foster relationships with customers to gain and maintain trusted advisor status in technical areas of irrigation.
Be an "Ambassador" for the Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd. brand.
Help Territory Managers win, manage, and support golf & landscape projects in their territory.
Create Reports and recommendations to improve, upgrade and maintain customers irrigation assets.
Communicate leads and upsell opportunities to the outside sales team.
Use the company ERP system (Cloud Suite Distribution (CSD)) extensively to help the sales team with:
Order Entry
Tracking Open Orders
Tracking Open Purchase Orders
Monitoring Customer Account Activity
Inventory Monitoring and Management
Use CallProof the Vanden Bussche CRM (Customer Relationship Management Tool).

This includes but is not limited to:

Entering new account information
Updating existing account information
Entering relevant opportunities
Logging incoming and outgoing phone calls using the CRM app
General data management
Facilitate and fulfill value added design services to contractors on their projects.
Work with the Inside Sales and Operations Teams (branch managers etc.) to ensure excellent customer fulfillment.
Learn and work with each division (landscape, golf, agriculture) and leverage any opportunities available across those disciplines. Diesel ag pumps that may be sold in the golf and landscape divisions for example.
Maintain a neat and clean company service vehicle to company standards
Adhere to the companies' various policies and procedures.
Be punctual and reliable to meet the needs of Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd. and our customers
