Department overview:


Within Vendor Management, Sourcing Operations work with each Procurement resource to support/sponsor reviews from an analytical perspective, with a focus on a view on process and research.


Reports to:
Manager, Category Management


Key Accountabilities:

Coordinate scheduling for discussions on supplier diversity and sustainable procurement, including vendor demos
Support procurement advisors on the team with spend analysis as required
Coordinate content development and acquisition for function reporting; quarterly newsletter, board updates
Schedule team meetings, offsites, and cross-functional discussions including agenda and meeting minutes with follow ups
Support the development of Vendor Management Office (VMO) partnering with fellow associates on supplier related business cases
Other administrative support for the VMO team
Researches and tracks industry best practices, insights and trends to identify opportunities to leverage new tools, processes and technologies to automate, improve and/or streamline the VMO product and services offerings internally and externally
Provide solutions, create efficiencies and identify continuous process and technology improvement opportunities to improve sourcing, procurement and governance models
Build analytics framework to report, benchmark and deliver metrics and data insights to suppliers, employees, category management, business leaders, vendors and VMO office
Solicit feedback from stakeholders to ensure alignment of core capabilities with client perspective on capabilities


Must haves:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a business related field
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Excellent relationship building, client centricity and influential skills
Delivering results with a sense of urgency and putting clients first
Collaborating within a team environment
Adhering to policies & procedures to deliver consistently and within best practices
Tech savvy; experience with Microsoft Office & Google Suite


Nice to haves:

Intermediate analytical skills
Previous project management experience


Working Environment:

Hybrid role 1-2 days a week in the Downtown Toronto Office
