If you are committed to improving the health and well-being of British Columbians, we are currently recruiting for a permanent Project Manager to join our Delivery Services working in analytics.

The role will be working from home with the ability to work from our head office in Burnaby, BC.


Job Summary


Under the broad managerial direction of the Director, Delivery Services, the Project Manager supports data analytics activities and leads key analytics projects and aspects within scope, quality, schedule and budget constraints.

The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the project from concept to closure and will liaise with consultants, vendors, client entities and external agencies.

All projects are executed in accordance with the Information and Technology Services (IaTS) Governance structures and in collaboration with necessary delivery groups and committees.

This position will drive wins and build strong offerings, services and solutions.

Key aspects of this role include providing client relationship management, proof-of-concept creation, advising and providing solution direction and leadership in coordination within the organization's strategic direction.


Job Duties
***Supports high-level and detailed analytics projects and plans by understanding project and plan objectives, gathering project and plan requirements and estimate timelines, budgets and benefits.


Works with business stakeholders to identify, define and create reports on key metrics to drive the strategic plan forward by conducting research, analyzing data, creating financial models and calculating ROI.


Executes project plans in accordance with project methodologies including the integration of programs and processes to manage scope throughout the project lifecycle.


Reports project progress through an agreed project governance structure outlining the project's overall status, identified risks, schedule and budget by generating lean business cases, presentations, and reports.


Defines project quality requirements and ensures the right systems are in place and applied by participating in Project Implementation processes.

Applies superior conflict management skills and expertise to persuade and negotiate effective resolution of issues/disputes.

Facilitates discussions with other stakeholders including project managers, business managers, and directors to analyze how plans can be improved.

Develops and updates documentation of project management processes and systems in accordance with standard templates.

Creates proof-of-concept assets for analytics projects.


Performs business analysis or systems analysis tasks as required including analyzing variance from KPI's (gather business requirements, draft business processes, lead design reviews, lead test plan creation and execution, etc).


_Required Experience _

  • Demonstrated experience as a project manager of multistakeholder projects for a large complex organization across all project phases delivering projects
  • Demonstrated handson experience with data analytics, such as data visualization, business intelligence dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, SQL code, and metric definition and design

_Required Qualifications_:

  • Bachelor's degree or technical school diploma in Business, Computer Science/IT or equivalent including or supplemented by courses in leadership or supervision

  • Knowledge of data analytics functions and concepts, such as data visualization, business intelligence dashboards, data queries, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies as well as change management practices
  • Knowledge of project management framework and processes, resource management, financial modeling, and expert knowledge in Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel and PowerPoi
