Training & Skills Development Coordinator - Calgary, Canada - K-Line Group of Companies
Description
The Training & Skills Development Coordinator will administer tasks utilizing various software tools to support the training and development of our workforce.
Reporting to the Director, HSEQ&T, the incumbent will use their strong communication and organizational skills to effectively interface with various teams within the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage apprenticeship program through scheduling school and training sessions, apprentice meetings, evaluations, and maintaining training records.
- Coordinate various departmental meetings and conference calls as requested, and record and distribute meeting minutes as required
- Assist with the creation of reports as required by the Director-HSEQ&T
- Coordinate administration of necessary paperwork (Payroll Change Notices, IT requests, etc.)
- Schedule training (internal and external) and maintain record keeping systems for all training documents and internal and external training certificates including training matrix
- Assist with onboarding of new employees as required
- Develop and deliver general training
- Assist with internal audits (COR,
ISO:
9001,
ISO:
45001)Assist with internal and external reporting, and maintain reporting records
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a related role
- Postsecondary education or equivalent work experience is required
- Experience in the administration of training courses/programs is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with employees at all levels
- Ability to approach problems logically, under pressure and seek innovative solutions
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage large volumes of data
- Ability to act as an ambassador and promote the organization's training and skills development agenda
- Selfmotivated, team player with strong professionalism and business acumen
