Maintenance Lead Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Full 08/05/2023

ALCO Gas & Oil designs, fabricates, and assembles oil and gas processing equipment for the domestic and global market. Alco is seeking a Facility and Equipment Maintenance Lead to work within our production facility.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and repair of production and facility assets.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of welding machines, vessel rollers, bandsaws, drill presses and lathes.
  • Identify and assign repairs to qualified vendors.
  • Set up and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Prepare and implement a scheduled maintenance plan in support of all assets.
  • Clean class 5 Alberta driver's license.

Preferred Skills:

  • A Red Seal endorsement in either Electrical, instrumentation, welding, Millwright or equivalent.
  • Proven experience to complete the duties as stated.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance in an industrial or fabrication shop.
  • AWP and Fall Arrest.
  • Lockout Tagout certification.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

Working Conditions:


  • You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present.
  • Typical workday is 8 hours, overtime and working weekends may be required with short notice.
  • Work will be performed both inside the shop and outside in the yard.
  • Working at heights and loud environment.
