Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and execute the shipping and receiving of materials, products, and supplies in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect contents for accuracy and quality, and verify against purchase orders or other documentation.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling, proper documentation, and adherence to shipping regulations and requirements.
  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documents using computerized systems or manual processes.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and product locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, procurement, and quality control, to coordinate shipment schedules and resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and other logistics service providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and resolve any transportationrelated concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area, ensuring efficient workflow and safe working conditions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in shipping and receiving operations.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and proficiency in using computerized software for tracking and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and logistics service providers.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, if required.
