    The First Nations Health Authority is a diverse and transformational health organization of professional, innovative, and dedicated team members and leaders.

    The first of its kind in Canada, FNHA works as a health-and-wellness partner with BC First Nations to support self-determination and decision-making to improve health outcomes.

    The aim of the Gitxsan and Wet'suwet'en First Nations Primary Care Wellness Centre is to improve access to primary health care services and traditional wellness services for First Nations people in a way that is culturally safe and closer to home.

    • Hagwilget, BC - FNHA is able to financially support relocation to Hazelton, BCAs Primary Care Registered Nurse, you will – be a part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary primary care team that provides team based, trauma-informed primary care services by creating a culturally safe environment in order to promote, maintain and/or restore client health. This position provides direct primary care services to clients at all life stages by observing, assessing, monitoring and documenting client health and progress to make evidence-informed decisions towards health and wellness. The role is a leader in demonstrating cultural humility and trauma and violence informed care that acknowledges the client's values, cultural beliefs, and practices.

    Provides care and service that meets the standards for Registered Nurses within the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

    Completion of a recognized Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent combination of education. Training and experience.
    BCCDC Immunization Certification an asset.
    *Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.3 weeks' vacation, which increases with service to 4 weeks, sick leave credits, plus 1 personal day, 1 volunteer day, and 14 holidays including National Indigenous People's Day and National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

    The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.

    As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021.

    We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

    If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
