Description

HLS LINEN SERVICES is looking for an experienced Transportation Logistic Supervisor to manage a team of 20-25 drivers, in a very large laundry facility.

You must have excellent organization skills, be very familiar with the Ottawa area, have knowledge in trucking, have excellent management skills.

Ensuring the deliveries are done on time without delay

  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and other staff to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor and track transportation activities to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of company vehicles
  • Evaluate and select transportation vendors and negotiate contracts
  • Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for optimization
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among transportation staff
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to transportation team members

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in transportation management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with drivers, staff, and vendors
  • Proficient in using transportation management software and systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Valid driver's license

Salary:
$65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year:


  • Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation efficiency and reduce costs
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including route planning and driver assignments
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Monitor and track transportation performance metrics, such as ontime delivery and fuel consumption
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities
  • Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
  • Resolve any transportationrelated issues or customer complaints in a timely manner

Salary:
$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
