Your role
Radio-Canada's Rad journalism lab is looking for a TikToker.
In that role, you'll originate and produce videos and content for Rad's TikTok account, including content developed on your own or collaboratively with the team.
Key tasks:
- Monitor news and current affairs related to your TikTok videos and content.
- Pitch ideas for videos and content.
- Research, gather, review and update information required to prepare videos and content.
- As necessary, choose interviewees and proceed with interviews.
- Propose story angles for video and content. Develop and package content.
- Draft video/content outlines (topic, treatment, prep notes).
- Determine visuals and props needed for videos and content.
- Do you own editing.
- Take part in discussions among the Rad team on various topics.
- Carry out all other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Community college diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years' relevant experience
Skills:
- Detailed knowledge of TikTok storytelling and trends
- Ability to shoot and edit your own videos and content
- Selfstarter and resourcefulness
- Broad general knowledge
- Solid command of French (working language)
- Knowledge of interview techniques
- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada's Journalistic Standards and Practices
