    Lead Hands have a wage range of $30$46 per based on your experience and an assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.


Our
Advanced Flow Systems facility is looking for an experienced and energetic Lead Hand to join our Piping Department in Chilliwack, BC.

We have two (2) shifts available currently for these positions,
the
afternoon shift is from 4:15pm to 2:45am Monday to Thursday, and the
weekend shift which is from 6:00am to 6:30pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


The
Lead Hand is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of his/her team, helping workers to meet goals, and mediating concerns with the Team Lead.

The
Lead Hand position requires an individual who is comfortable interacting with front line staff, peers and plant management. It is a fast-paced environment requiring one to multi-task while performing the duties of the job. The
Lead Hand must set an example by working in a safe manner, following all Health and Safety policies and procedures, and using proper PPE


Essential Functions for this Role are:

General Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Production Supervisor.
  • Monitor the flow of production; Prioritizing as required
  • Meeting Goals: Accountable for the team's ability to meet production goals
  • Track and record production numbers daily
  • Provide assistance as needed when equipment is down, or there are issues with supplies
  • Communicate to the Production Supervisor if equipment is not operating properly.
  • Report any observed performance issues to the Production Supervisor

Safety Responsibilities

  • Lead by example
  • Perform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and practices
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE): steel toed footwear, safety glass, face mask, etc.
  • Report any unsafe work practices or dangerous work habits
  • Monitor work area by checking for trip hazards, unsafe or faulty equipment and/or any unsafe conditions.

If you have the following Experience, Qualifications, and Skills, we want to hear from you

  • Minimum 1year experience in a production facility and multicultural work staff environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be a team player possess interpersonal skills
