    We have an exciting opportunity for a leader to play a key role in defining, realizing, and leveraging the ICBC's future technology vision. As Cloud Security Architect, you will build on securing ICBC's existing business system investments to ensure we provide efficient, customer-driven, affordable and future-focused solutions. In this role, you will deliver Security Architecture and IT advisory services for Cloud to all of IT which includes designing secure solutions, creating cloud standards and making sure solutions are well architected in line with the Security Pillar. This role is part of the Enterprise Architecture team that has accountability for oversight and guidance for all ICBC IT systems that serves our lines of business.

    Position Highlights:

    You have proven business acumen, strategic thinking, and learning agility skills. Competencies that will set you apart as the successful candidate are:

    • Cloud - Leveraging leading cloud practices and services to drive the ICBC journey to cloud.
    • Security - Design and review existing security architecture, identify design gaps and recommend security enhancements. Stay abreast of current and emerging security threats and design security architecture to mitigate them.
    • Serve as an information security expert and trusted advisor to partners in IT and the business.
    • Stakeholder Engagement. Skilled at identifying and engaging with impacted parties.
    • Leadership. Ability to own, direct and influence change.

    Position Requirements:

    To make an immediate contribution, you will draw on your experience working with medium to large sized organizations to understand the business direction and develop and implement cloud security practices and architecture to support ICBC's strategic migration to cloud. You bring demonstrated experience:

    • Absorbing large amounts of information, analyzing and synthesizing the key ideas and recommendations, and effectively applying your understanding to create secure architectures;
    • Deliver Reference Architecture and technology standards to support the use of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions. This includes new solutions built natively in the cloud as well as migrating existing workloads to the cloud.
    • Cloud certification and a deep understanding and hands-on experience in AWS and Azure native services would strongly support your effectiveness in this role together with application of the Well Architected Framework (WAF) in your past delivery

    Technical Skills:

    • One or more of the following certifications: ISC2's CISSP, ISACA's CISM, ISACA's CISA, The Open Group's TOGAF, SANS' GAIC, IAPP's CIPT
    • Direct experience designing IAM technologies and services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP, Amazon Web Services' [AWS'] IAM)
    • Experience with the following Regulations, Standards and Frameworks:
      • Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)
      • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
      • Privacy Principles (best practices)
      • International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001/2
      • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
      • Data privacy requirements (FOIPPA) and provincial and federal regulations
    • Expert in Visio, PowerPoint and technical documentation.

    What we offer:

    ICBC provides comprehensive and flexible benefit coverage to all eligible employees including a defined benefit pension plan, 4 weeks' vacation and 3 Wellness Days.

    100% employer paid life insurance, long term disability and travel insurance.

    Sick leave plan - 100% of pay for a period of a maximum of 8 weeks plus 85% of your pay for a subsequent period of up to 9 weeks.

    • Resident - you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled workdays.
    • Hybrid 8 - you will work a minimum of 8 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
    • Hybrid 10 - you will work a minimum of 10 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
    • Mobile - you will work remotely or in the field on scheduled workdays within British Columbia, with the requirement to be at your primary on-site headquarters by exception only.
