    Cyber Security Analyst– Hybrid

    The Opportunity

    AER is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join its team of IT professionals. As AER's Security Analyst, your role will be responsible for building and enhancing AER's security engineering, delivery practices, and provide support on AER IT security infrastructure.

    A successful candidate must be comfortable working in fast-moving and complex enterprise environment. This role requires an individual with strong collaboration skills as you will work with stakeholders across AER business branches on IT security. In working with these stakeholders, you will work to obtain the maximum value out of technological investments and build security management models to support the technology as it is operationalized. In addition, this role will assist in IT security incident detection, prevention, and response efforts to protect AER business from evolving security threats.

    What your day-to-day will look like:

    • Participate and provide technical cyber security input into the design and implementation of solutions across the AER.
    • Evaluate security tools and processes in conjunction with IMT stakeholders, corporate and information security team and business leaders.
    • Document and plan the remediations of identified vulnerabilities and exploits.
    • Act as the initial point of contact to facilitate the handling of security incidents and requests.
    • Conduct technical investigations resulting in successful root cause analysis of intrusions and make real-time decisions about incidents as they occur.
    • Scan network based and web applications for vulnerabilities.
    • Operate Endpoint security and intrusion detection systems.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
    • Manage the Firewalls and encryption.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to build security models to support technology as it is operationalized.
    • Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls.
    • Recommend improvements to security tools, configurations, processes, and policies.

    What we're looking for in you:

    • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology with 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
    • Strong working knowledge of Operating Systems principles and technologies (Windows or UNIX).
    • Demonstrated experience in administration of remote network endpoints where there is little to no assistance at the remote end.
    • Strong understanding of networking: routers, switches, firewalls particularly Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet and Zscaler.
    • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging network communications.
    • Strong understanding of Internet and networking protocols, including packet capture analysis.
    • Demonstrated knowledge/familiarity with Microsoft Security Suite products including MD-ATP, Sentinel and Azure WAF.
    • Experience with Azure hosted end user focused services including Microsoft O365
    • Strong knowledge of computer network and host-based vulnerabilities, intrusion techniques and practices.
    • Basic knowledge of networking (Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, network architecture).
    • Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Penetration testing, Security event monitoring, and Forensics.
    • SEC1 - This position will be subject to pre-employment background screening, including a criminal record check.
